Reading of last meetings notes -  Secretary Jimmy Hughes was called out and could not attend.

 

Old Business

 

FOP Lodge Building on Archibald

 

Most of the demo work is completed.  After tearing out the original ceiling and the grid panels, it has become apparent that staying with the grid ceiling is not a viable option.  Most of the grid is warped and a large portion was damaged in the Kitchen area. 

 

Rankin - Will contact a friend in the HVAC business to see about moving the A/C system above the original ceiling.  This will allow the ceiling to be sheet rocked and give an extra 3 feet of ceiling space.

 

New Business

 

Gary Coyne, from A.B.I., was invited by the board to talk to members about working with his company again doing phone solicitations.  A.B.I. currently has contracts with 20 lodges in NC and is in talks with the State Lodge to do their fundraisers.  A.B.I. is based out of Conyers, GA. 

 

After Gary spoke with the members, he was thanked for his time and left as the members present discussed     using his company again. 

 

The decision was made to use A.B.I. again for our fall fundraiser which focuses on our Christmas with a Cop program.  There were some stipulations placed on A.B.I. which they have agreed with.  The phone solicitation should start in September.

 

The back porch will be closed in using framing and vinyl siding.
