Every December members of Lodge 64 use donated funds and host Christmas with a Cop. Children in need throughout Cabarrus County are treated to a shopping spree with a uniformed Law Enforcement Officer at the local Super K-Mart. The children meet with the Officers at The Boys and Girls Club where they receive breakfast and are paired with an Officer. The children then get to ride with their Officer using blue lights and siren from The Boys and Girls Club to Super K-Mart. The children then shop for clothes and toys for Christmas that they otherwise would not have received. Officers that give their time to the event often comment that the experience symbolizes the true meaning of Christmas, especially when the child you are assigned buys gifts for their family before they buy for themselves. On average, the F.O.P. hosts 50 children every year based on funds raised throughout the year.
